A funny thing happened as we puzzled over names and deciphered handwriting on page after page after page….
We came to know Grandpa. We came to know his life. We were immersed in the 19th century and in his work. He lived and breathed. He bore testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. And we heard.
Grandpa wanted that for all his children. In fact, he wrote a prayer in his journal, that his “children’s children down to the latest generation may have the privilege of reading this, the history of their father.”
These journals have been transcribed and made available to those who desire knowledge: of an ancestor, of their Savior Jesus Christ or about family history in general.
