Thu Dec 23, 1852

Commenced with showers from the south; very little wind. There has a great deal of rain fall here last few days, more than has fallen for 8 months before. It thundered very hard in night. I dreamed of feeding a very large flock of hens and chickens, saw one or two hung up to die by the neck on a limb of a tree. They were old and appeared very worthless, lousy and etc. In the afternoon it cleared off. Br. Cannon and I went down and blessed the little child of Br. Uaua, 8 days old today, the same which we attended at its birth. Br. Cannon was mouth; it got a good blessing. It was named Asieata.

  1. Hey I’m trying to find information on Francis Asbury Hammond. Is this him? He was born in New York on Nov. 1st, 1822?
I need to know more about his wives. It says he had 15, I only find information on Mary Jane Dilworth, as far as I can tell she only had 3 children.
    Can you help me?
    Natasha

    • Hello, Natasha! This is indeed *that* Francis Asbury Hammond. He only had three wives: Mary Jane DILWORTH, Alice HOWARD and Martha Jensine MARCUSSEN. Mary Jane had 12 children and Alice had 3 children. Martha didn’t have children with Francis A.

Mary Jane was born on July 29, 1831 in Pennsylvania.
Alice was born September 30, 1845 in Lancaster, England. She died January 28, 1873 shortly after giving birth to her third child, Hannah. Alice is buried in Huntsville, Utah.
Martha was born April 5, 1850 in Denmark and died August 23, 1935. Martha is buried in Moab, Utah. She was previously married to Henry HOLMES.

      Hope this information helps.
